Sustainable Community Development Seminar Focus: Project Finance and Management.

The Department of Saemaul Studies organized another Sustainable Community Development Seminar on October 25, 2014. The seminar was attended by 17 professionals from the development sector who participated and listened to a variety of presentations on project finance and management. The speakers also facilitated discussions among the participants regarding their projects with relation to the topics presented. Following the presentations and discussions, the participants were made aware of Enderun’s new sustainable community development programs which include the Global Certificate on Saemaul Undong and International Community Development and the Bachelor of Arts in Global Economics specializing in Saemaul Undong and International Development Cooperation.

KOICA in the Philippines and Saemaul Undong Implementation Guidelines by Dong Sung Seo, Associate Representative of KOICA Philippines

Cost Benefit Analysis and Project Evaluation by Dr. Byeong Wan Lee, Professor of Economics of Yeungnam University

Project Planning and Implementation by Dr. Edgardo Rodriguez, President of Enderun Colleges, Inc.

Sustainable Community Development Seminar Focus: Environmental Management and Protection.

The Department of Saemaul Studies organized another Sustainable Community Development Seminar on September 13, 2014. The seminar had a special focus on the subject of environmental management and protection. There was a total of 24 attendees from the development sector who all participated and listened to a variety of presentations on environment. The speakers also facilitated discussions among the participants regarding their projects with relation to the topics presented. Following the presentations and discussions, the participants were made aware of Enderun’s new sustainable community development programs which include the Global Certificate on Saemaul Undong and International Community Development and the Bachelor of Arts in Global Economics specializing in Saemaul Undong and International Development Cooperation.

Sustainable Community Development Seminar Focus: The Ideal Economy and Economic Issues that the Philippines faces.

The Department of Saemaul Studies organized another Sustainable Community Development Seminar on July 26, 2014. It differed from the previously organized seminars because of its special focus on the subject of economics and the economic issues the Philippines faces. A total of 18 stakeholders of sustainable community development participated and listened to a variety of presentations on economics. The speakers also facilitated discussions among the participants regarding their own projects with relation to the issues given. Following the presentations and discussions, the participants were made aware of Enderun’s new sustainable community development programs which include the Global Certificate on Saemaul Undong and International Community Development and the Bachelor of Arts in Global Economics specializing in Saemaul Undong and International Development Cooperation.

Seminar and Consultation at Enderun Colleges on Sustainable Community Development.

This seminar was a third take on the Sustainable Community Development Seminar held on May 10, 2014. Different speakers and participants were invited. The seminar gathered a total of 61 participants who were all stakeholders of sustainable community development. They listened to a variety of presentations by experts in the development field. Afterwards, consultations were done on the local community projects implemented by the participants. Following the consultation process, the participants were made aware of Enderun’s new sustainable community development programs which include the Global Certificate on Saemaul Undong and International Community Development and the Bachelor of Arts in Global Economics specializing in Saemaul Undong and International Development Cooperation.

Afterwards, consultations were done on the local community projects implemented by the participants.
